Happy Mother’s Day

Dear Moms, Grandmas and Great-Grandmas,

There are no words strong enough to express the gratitude that you deserve.  You give us life.  You begin to nurture us from our first breath, to our first words, steps and days of school.  You teach us about feelings, caring for others and caring for ourselves.  You support us through the awkward stages of middle school, our first crushes and our first heart breaks.  You are our shoulders to cry on and the arms we run to. Yours is the face we look for in the audiences we spar, cheer, sing and perform in front of.  As we grow, we feel your pride at our first communion, confirmation, graduations, weddings and someday at the birth of our children.

When we are young we look up to you, you are our hero.  We hope to be just like you someday.

And someday, we realize we are just like you.  We hold on to everything we love about you and we strive to be just that.

Thank you for always trying your best to be just what we need in the moment that we need it.  You are now and will always be a part of us.  We love you!

All our love to you!

I’m a little late getting around to commenting, but better late than never, right? I have so much respect and admiration for all of the women who are (or become) mothers. I have a hard enough time being an aunt! 😉
