Fondue Dessert Du Jour

Yay for another June Resolution complete!!  Check out the Resolutions tab above :-).  Each month I resolve to complete a few fun tasks.  They are usually things that I want to do but just need that extra little boost saying… Well I want to, and now I will!

This was a delectable resolution for certain!  Chocolate Hazelnut Fondue, gluten-free and definitely delicious!

Here is the wonderful recipe (adapted from Rachael Ray):

16 ounces dark, sweet or semi-sweet chocolate chips

1 1/4 cups milk

1 tsp. Vanilla extract

1/4 cup chopped hazelnuts

I turned my newly opened, newly cleaned fondue machine on to the medium setting.  Then I went to town.  I added all the ingredients (except nuts) to the pot and stirred constantly until the contents had a smooth chocolate-y texture.  Then I added the hazelnuts and stirred some more.  Bam Done!

Now for the super fun part.  I got together our favorite treats to dip in our chocolate pool of delight.  Ie. Brownies (that’s right remember these), Strawberries, and Apples.  (You could also use Marshmallows, Pretzels, Pineapple, you name it, you can dip it.)

A rule of thumb though, Never Indulge Alone!  We talked our good friend Jeanie into enjoying this treat with us :-).

YUM!! Chocolate is definitely a weakness of mine. This recipe sounds delicious (minus the milk for me, of course). Way to indulge!
